良い時間が転がるましょう (Let the Good Times Roll!)

Japan is known for its rich traditions, politeness, ceremonial practices, and deep love of rice. Fresh sushi is now one of the most popular foods throughout Japan, even though it began as inexpensive fast food for workers in the 1800s. In this class, you’ll learn how to make sushi rice from scratch and use it to create a variety of Inside-Out Rolls (Uramaki) as well as traditional Outside-In rolls (Maki and Hosomaki). We’ll also prepare a couple of classic Japanese side salads and finish the class with mochi donuts (pon de ring), a beloved Japanese-American fusion pastry. This class is BYOB, so feel free to bring your favorite green tea, sake, or shochu!
