Information...

Where are you located?

We are located at 5047 N. Clark St., just north of Winnemac and two blocks south of Foster (on the east side of the street under a green awning.)  When you see the giant wooden spoon, you've found us!

(We are about 8 miles north of downtown Chicago and about 2 miles north of Wrigley Field in our terrific neighborhood of Andersonville.)

Which is the closest CTA stop?

The closest CTA El stop is Argyle on the Red line.  Once you get off the train, cross Broadway and continue west (on either Argyle or Winnemac).  Take a right on Clark St. (no need to cross the street) and find us under the green awning.

The Clark bus (#22) passes right by our door.  Request the Winnemac stop.

Where can I park?

There are metered spaces in front of the store and we'd be happy to give you change and breaks during class to keep up with feeding them.  (One quarter buys 12 minutes; the machines also take credit/debit cards.)  There is free parking on the side streets (no special permits needed) and along Ashland Ave. which is just a block away.

How does your knife sharpening service work?

We sharpen knives right here in the store typically every Tuesday and Thursday.  If you drop your knives off on any other day or when we open at 11:00am on these two days we will have them ready for you to pick up by 5:00pm.  The cost is $2.50 per knife (any length).  We can also sharpen serrated edges, and scissors.  We cannot sharpen ceramic knives.
